As a kid I was really obsessed with the import section of the grocery store. Today I was trying Peelerz peach gummy candy and it instantly reminded me of how much I loved Kasugai gummies. Haven't had them in decades.

As a kid I took it for granted that I was always getting a steady intake of imported snacks from Italy thanks to my grandmother who spent half her time there and half her time in the US. Learning that Kinder Surprise eggs were illegal in the states blew my mind when I found out for the first time. I'm glad that more Kinder chocolate has been making it to the US but the surprise eggs hit for me in a way that the Kinder Joy we get in the US doesn't

New Zealand chocolate bars are some of the best I've ever tasted. I yearn to return to the Berry Forest... genuinely so good. And they're cheap as hell if you live in New Zealand, but an import costs like $30. Whittaker hates me.
